DIY Spooky Candles

This was soooo easy and fun! My 4yr old and I grab a few things from the dollar store and got creating.

The main think you need to do is chop up some crayons and melt them in the microwave for 30-60 seconds, it is just that simple.

Materials:

-candle sticks

-crayons

-toothpick or skewer or chopstick

-cupcake liners

Directions:

  1. Double up the cupcake liners (1 set for each color). So, I used 8 liners for 4 colors.

  2. Cut up 1/2 of a crayon and put it in your double liner (do this for each color)

  3. Microwave the crayons in a microwave save dish for 30 seconds and add time until they melt (PRO TIP: adding water to the dish keeps the crayon from sticking to the dish).

  4. Use a toothpick/skewer to apply the melted crayon to the candle stick (dipping works well too).

Once they are cool, they are ready to be lit. :D

I highly recommend using red crayon on black candles for a super spooky look.
